The Wave

Dedicated on Virginia Beach’s 50th Anniversary, The Wave features a metal and cable sculpture that stands 35’ tall and 30’ wide. It is located in a roundabout near the beach on a 40’ diameter reflecting pool basin with an infinity edge. The Wave has an open design that will allow high winds to pass through reducing resistance. To ensure longevity, the sculpture is fabricated out of a combination of stainless steel plates and stainless steel cables. The sculpture is also enhanced with a colorful display of LED programmed lighting for visibility in the evening.
